Public Servants Sunday

On June 9th, 2024 at 10:30 am, Metropolitan Baptist Church, located at 2829 W 102nd St in Bloomington, is hosting a special service called, "Public Servant's Sunday." Our desire is to honor those who serve or have served the public through various avenues: Police, Fire, EMT, Military Veterans, Public Officials, Etc. We would like to cordially invite people who have served in these capacities to join us for this service. During this special event, we will have a formal recognition of each branch of public service represented, a token of appreciation will be given to those in attendance and refreshments will be served afterwards.

We will also have a special keynote speaker, Dr. Charles Harding. Dr. Harding had the unique opportunity to serve as the Deputy Commander of the Uniformed Protection Branch for the US State Department's Diplomatic Security Service. Over the last 20 years, he's worked on Capitol Hill in Washington DC through various organizations to provide spiritual counsel and support to members of Congress. Dr. Harding is a gifted speaker with incredible insight into our nation's history and the special role public servants play in maintaining civil order and guidance for their communities.

As a church, we hope members from your department will be able to join us for this special day and give our church the opportunity to say "Thank You" for all you do!
