Each week, we have age appropriate Sunday School classes for children at 9:30 am. Our hope is to teach God's Word in a way that helps children understand God's great love for them.
Our church also provides childcare services for children under the age of 4 years old during our worship service times. Our staff is a friendly, loving group of ladies who will provide wonderful care for young children.
Every month, our ladies who are 50 and over get together for a time of fellowship and prayer at a local restaurant or coffee shop.
Many people have the desire to learn and understand the Bible, but they don’t know where to start. Our goal at Metropolitan Baptist Church is to help those who desire to become grounded, committed disciples of Christ. In the spirit of II Timothy 2:2, we offer one on one Bible studies to help cultivate spiritual growth. In the process, wonderful friendships are developed. We’re here to support you on your spiritual journey.
Our church supports a variety of missionary works around the globe. We believe in the urgency of Jesus' command in Mark 16:15, to preach the gospel to every creature. We also believe in visiting and participating in these endeavors personally through regularly scheduled missions trips.
Our church strives to make Bible study material and church services available online for easy access. MBC livestreams all services through three internet platforms; Facebook Live, YouTube and Sermon Audio. We publish previous preached messages on Sermon Audio as well, along with videos on YouTube and Facebook. We also have Bible studies available online for people interested in seeking a relationship with the Lord.
Our desire at MBC is to worship the Lord with music that honors Him. We have various ensembles of musicians who sing and play instrumentals designed to prepare hearts to receive God's Word.
LifeQuest is our Bible Study group that meets at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. We have weekly meetings where students come together to fellowship, pray and study the scriptures. Jesus said in Mark 16:15, "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." As a church, we strive to fulfill this commission by each week taking time to share the gospel in our community whether through personal witness or the distribution of gospel literature proclaiming the love of Christ. We desire to share with others the Gospel that transformed our lives!
Our PEERs Group is an active group of college and career aged single people who have monthly fellowships together. Through activities and service opportunities, members of this group build lasting friendships as they encourage each other to grow spiritually in the Lord.
As a church, our passion is to help people discover how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This relationship will transform lives and prepare people for eternity. Through opportunities available via social media, we endeavor to connect people to Bible studies and resources in our region and around the world that'll show them how to have such a relationship with the Lord. For more information, check out our "Finding Hope" Facebook page.
We also conduct annual missions projects globally to allow God's people to see firsthand the mission field and come back with an enlarged heart to be more actively engaged. To see our projects click here
